Loveless Roleplay

Roleplay in the Loveless universe!

Rain pattered on the cobblestone walkways, and cars seemed to rush around. A girl with bright ruby eyes, and raven hair seemed to sway. Her name was Quin, and she was coming back from a very long trip. She'd been away from her friends, family, and sentouki too long, and couldn't stand it. She decided to sneek away, and head back. She had waited until a day of rain, and no one not even her knew why.

A briefcase in one hand a black rose in the other, Quin strolled in the midst of night. Many eyes falled upon her, scared and some amused. She sat at a bus stop waiting...

((OOC: I know, it's quite short. I've been away, and I still need to get the feeling again! :D

One set of eyes drew significantly more amusement than others as fluorescently verdant ocules scanned the nearby area, their owner finding great interest in what they surveyed. As the somewhat eerie and arrogant smirk etched itself on the face on the nearby shadow-cloaked individual, he began moving. As he neared this new addition to the area, he couldn't help but pick up the aura. Seth's memory whirring, he recollected this one in particular and sneered mentally, still upholding his smile, though truly dreading this encounter in reality. Though the minor annoyance from before was just that, minor, it was also existentially the other, an annoyance. Not one to let an instant determine his course of action, he continued onward, only somewhat deterred.
Reaching the bench, he placed a hand on it, to alert Quin to his arrival. His aura fairly concealed, he now let it run free, the burst of energy altering the feeling in the air noticably for anyone with even the slightest magical inclination. With an entirely new smile present on his features now, he glanced over to the young lady. "It's been quite a while, has it not? How have you been?" He spoke formally as not to presume anything. She hadn't been too fond of him in past socially interactive events, and he didn't expect this particular instance to be any different. His smile faded as he glanced upwards, the rain not seeming to touch any of his skin. His hair hung down, completely saturated, though his skin remained untouched by the water, as though the very elements feared contact with him.

Quin felt someon touch her and heard a very familiar voice. She glanced towards the person near her, and miled. It was Seth, someone she knew, and one she didn't talk much too long ago. Her eyes glinted in the moonlight, and the tints of blood in her orbs swirled. "Hello, Seth. Yes, it has been a long time. I've been fine, and how are you?," she replied quietly. A gust of wind removed her hood from her raven head, and her skin looked deathly pale in the moonlight.

Blood ruby orbs looked around and noticed a robber, a sick man, and young child. She seemed to hiss under her breath. Nothing had changed around this place, and she was not stunned about it. "The world is never the same when one leaves, but this place always to be the same. You might not look at that way, but everyone has their own look at the universe." Her voice rang like a gentle bell in a church steeple. It was now around midnight, and the bus didn't be coming any time soon. Quin checked her watch on her creme alabaster wrist.

She picked up her bag and rose near her, and smirked. "Looks like a hotel will be my room at this time."

He chuckled, moreso to himself than to her. She really had no idea of what he'd been doing before he met her, let alone afterwards. Did she really take interest in his life story? Probably not. He'd be assuming far too much about her to decide she did, let alone to decide she was lying and completey just asking for conversation's sake. He noticed the extent to which the moonlight seemed to accentuate her features. She was much like himself, though neither would've liked to admit it. She was a bird of the night, as was he, pale, nearly fluorescent skin made into a different quality altogether by the grace she possessed, again similar to his own, though inherently more feminine. Her skin being pale through genetics in all probability, his own was due to his particular persona's lack of acquaintance with sunlight. It had been ages since he'd seen the sun personally, if he didn't see when his other half was in control, he'd have forgotten what it looked like completely.

"You say that as though it were a bad thing. Consistency is one of the things I admire. It provides a grand method of scheduling. The universe is a perfect example of this. The larger bodies controlling the path's and destinies of those smaller than them, thus subservient through a grand plan. The entirety of the universe is too vast for most people to grasp, the ends of the universe are unnatainable by anything, even light itself. I find the constants of space and time to be reassuring to myself, although that could only because I loathe Chaos. Call my opinion biased, by all means but I find it to be a charm of this place rather than a negative quality."

He rose to persue her, now utterly intrigued by this young lady. What he'd expected to be a rather irritating run-in had turned into an intellectual conversation. He detested his assumtion now, mentally kicking himself for being so unenthusiastic upon meeting her. "You do realize... that it is entirely hingent upon yourself where you stay." He stopped himself, now finding even his own manner to be too formal. "What I'm trying to say is... Do you wanna crash at my place?"

Quin listened to his words, taking his opinion and words in consideration. She was not one who argued to ones opinion unless it was worthless and un-bearable to hear over and over. His words were different though, for they were more from what he thought, and not from a damn theory that never existed. "I'll take that into consideration," she hummed, bowing her head to show him gratitude. "It shall help me understand the views of many people in the future." The moon glittered more before a navy cloud took away the moon beams, covering their delighted path.

"I guess.....Excuse me. My reasoning and opinions are probably having no interest to you," Quin replied with a small chuckle, but stopped. Hearing his offer, she lifted a nicely drawn, crisp raven eyebrow. She wondered why he was being so gentle. Their past was quite rough, and would not expect such an offer. Was he purposely doing this as if he had a plan to do this all along? Questions swirled in her head about this, so she decided to agree to see if she needed to defend herself or just stay.

Her ruby eyes looked at his orbs before she answered; they seemed to pass threw his. “That shall be fine. It would be nice to get in before another strike of lightning comes by.” She passed him and stopped a few feet before him. “Well, am I going the right way?”

"Not many hold the same view as I on this matter, taking my thoughts into consideration will only prepare you for the thoughts of those few and far between." He glanced at her again, closing his eyes slightly to augment his auditory senses, taking in the full melodious harmony of her voice, now committing it to memory. He again looked around, he'd allowed Sagara his freedom tonight, though was still bound to the schedule implemented by the true master of the body he inhabited. He smiled and opened his eyes again, their bright forest color seeming to intensify in the darkness, though only due to the moonlight's temporary repreive.

"Oh, far from it, actually. I find both products of your thought process to be utterly fascinating." He looked into her eyes as well, trying to figure out exactly what was going on in her head through a single look, as though it would tell him everything he desired to know. "You are, indeed. My house is about midway between here and that park a few blocks away. We could get there in a very expediated process, if you'd follow me."

She waited quietly for him to catch up. "Thank you for the kind words," she said. The wind tangled itself in her flowing hair, and the leaves seemed to dance around her delicate ankles. She was of course weraing heels as always, for they made her look more sophisticated, even though being seven-teen.

Expediated process She was curious at what he meant by this, and wondered if it was another magical thing again. She shrugged and waited for him to explain, or show her. Well he was going to show her anyways. Following him, her shoes made a melody of their own with the sounds of the natural surrondings. A crack thunder boomed through the midnight sky, and the rain intensified even more. Oh, bother.Quin was very happy she wasn't one of the girls who was worried about their makeup getting messed up in the rain or their hair frizzing. She contained the natural beauty every lady would kill for.

"Oh, it's nothing. I suppose I should be kind to you after attempting to contain you in a pyramid." He sighed, thinking back to that very agitating day. He was clad in his ever-identifying emsemble: a pair of black and silver shoes, black pants, lime-green undershirt, and his trademark black trenchcoat. He again looked at Quin, catching her shrug and her silence.

With the rains' intensifying, he simply closed his eyes, again the rain refused to make contact with his body. He quite adored the way his hair looked when wet, finding the standing everywhere hairstyle that was his usual to be far too outlandish. He took her hand gently and pulled her into a secluded alley way, placing his finger over her lips in a signal to keep quiet. He looked around and snapped the fingers on his left hand, arriving at his door with her in tow in the very next instant. "Keep that a secret, okay?"

"Hah, yes I do quite remember that. It makes me laugh," she whispered.

"Erm, sure," she replied, not knowing how to respond. She wasn't surprised or anything because she knew what he could do. When looking and glancing around his home, she slightly smirked. Tha place was not well kept, but she kept her comments to herself. "I'm guessing you don't like cleaning?" Quin asked, a small tease in her tone. She hung her cloak on a jacket hook, revealing an a-line skirt, and a flowy amythest silk top.

She plopped on the modern looking couch and croseed her legs. "Hungry?"

The place wasn't horrible, but could certainly use a touch-up. He took note as he looked around, becoming slightly embarassed and rubbing the back of his head sheepishly, looking downward, and digging his toe into the ground. All in all, his actions made him look quite childish, as though he were a middle school boy talking to his crush. He was quite unaware of this, though it was the appearance he gave off.

"Eh, it's been a short whie since I've done anything to pick up around here..." He looked at her again, eyebrow raising at her attire. His eyes lit up slightly, but he quickly closed them and looked away, finding himself awkwardly opposed to an act of flirtatiousness as of now. Looking to the floor, he forced himself to maintain composure and cleared his throat. "Oh, how rude of me! I haven't offered you anything to eat! I'm fine, though would you like something?"
Interested why he was acting the way he was, she asked," You okay? You have this really nervous look on your face. How about you sit, and I'll get somthing." She took his hand and sat him down, hoping he'd chill. She had heard his words, but didn't want him under pressure.

Quin found the kitchen, and looked in his fridge. She managed to make herself some pasta with an alfredo sauce. she looked at him with caring eyes. "Want some before I eat it all?"
He took a deep breath, smirked and sighed shortly thereafter. He inhaled the air, smelling of pasta. A small smile crept up on his face and he casually strolled over to the kitchen, looking back at Quin as he walked. "I'd love to try some, thanks for asking. You're a better guest than I am a host, I suppose." He chuckled and seated himself at the table, levitating two plates over to the table for himself and Quin. "Would you like something to drink? I figure I might as well do something as far as this meal's concerned."

He stood again and made his way over to the silverware cabinet, acquiring all that would be needed for dinner. He got forks, spoons, and knives, as was his usual. He forgot to take note of what was being eaten, but he always preferred being over prepared to under prepared.

"Is there such a thing?" she asked teasingly. She sat down across from him, and looked at the plates. She liked the color of them, and she wanted to ask where he got them. Quin quickly stopped herself knowing asking such a question would be quite rude. She looked back up to him when he asked what she wanted to drink. "I'll have water please, and if you have lemon, I'd like a slice in it please," she replied quietly, fiddling with the cloth napking she had placed on her lap.

Quin waited silently for Seth to sit himself, and kind of played with the fringes on the table cloth. For someone so glomy sometimes, was quite the interior designer.
